Welcome to Beavers at
1st Gawsworth Scouts

Being a Beaver is for young people aged 6-8 and is all about having fun and making new friends. We meet each Monday evening from 6pm-7pm in a group called the Beaver Colony. This is where we take part in many interesting activities and learn countless new skills.

What do Beavers get up to?

Beavers take part in a range of indoor and outdoor activities, such as playing games, hiking, and making crafts, while also learning important life skills. By being a Beaver, young children can begin their journey in the Scouts and develop a love of adventure and community spirit.

Progressing Onto Cubs

At the age of 8, a Beaver will look to progress up to Cubs. This is aimed to be done in small groups so they have some familiar faces to go with! Cubs is much like Beavers but with a slightly wider range of activities in and outside the Monday night session.

Information on Cubs at 1st Gawsworth Scouts can be found by clicking the 'Explore Cubs' .
