Welcome to Cubs at
1st Gawsworth Scouts

Being a Cub is for young people aged 8-10 and is all about building on your skills and continuing the adventure. We meet each Monday evening from 7pm-8pm in a group called the Cub Pack. We look to progress the Cubs and allow them to achieve whatever they put their mind to.

What do Cubs get up to?

Cubs take part in a range of indoor and outdoor activities, such as camping, hiking, and cooking while also learning important life skills. By being a Cub, young children can continue their journey in the Scouts and develop a love of adventure and community spirit.

Progressing Onto Scouts

At around the age of 10, a Cub will look to progress up to Scouts. This is aimed to be done in small groups so they have some familiar faces to go with! Scouts is much like Cubs but with a slightly wider range of activities in and outside the Thursday night session.
